You may still use the D minor pentatonic scale, but the best players can switch between major and minor pentatonic at will. The D major pentatonic scale is exactly the same as the Bm pentatonic scale. When you play D major pentatonic you are playing Bm pentatonic as well. This is called relative major and minor. For this purpose we will think of it as D major pentatonic.
