If you're a musician in need of some lessons, there's no better way to learn than with MusicRadar's so-called "Tuition" instructions. Although the title tuition is misleading, this video class is anything but costly, because it's free, right here. Whether you're looking for help with your voice, bass, electric guitar, drums, guitar effects, piano, Logic Pro or production techniques, Music Radar is here to show you the way.

Paul Gilbert is one of the world's premier guitarists. Known for his work with Mr. Big and Racer X, Paul possesses god-like technique, and he's a fantastic teacher to boot. Think the blues is best-served slow? Here Paul offers a slightly different take on the classic genre...

This video tutorial will show you how to play super-fast blues guitar like Paul Gilbert. Although the notes Paul is using here are familiar to most of us (he's using the standard blues scale here), there's always more than meets the eye when attempting any of his licks.

Paul starts with an upstroke. This may seem unusual, but it allows him to maintain an outside picking motion as he travels from the second to the third string. This becomes even more important when travelling from the first string, since your pick will be moving in the right direction.
